TerasTrustees Berhad

Malaysian Trust Company · Trust Companies Act 1949

The steady hand behind Malaysian legacies and mandates.

Teras acts as trustee for families protecting what they have built, and for institutions that need assets held by a neutral party. Two mandates, one standard of stewardship — delivered on a platform built this decade, not retrofitted to it.

What we do

Institutional

Corporate Trust

For companies, platforms and boards that need a neutral party holding funds or documents — and an audit trail their counterparties will accept.

  • Document and asset custody
  • Security agency for lenders
  • Digital trustee and API integration

Digital trustee

Trusteeship that speaks to your systems, not just your lawyers.

Most trust work still moves by letter, wet signature and reconciliation after the fact. We built Teras the other way round: a licensed fiduciary with an API in front of it, so holding, releasing and reporting on assets happens in the same flow as the transaction itself.

  • Trustee API

Open an escrow, release a milestone, lodge a beneficiary change — programmatically, from your own platform, with every call signed and logged.

  • Digital instruments

Deeds, instructions and consents executed and stored digitally, with a timestamped chain of custody from signature to distribution.

  • Verifiable records

Beneficiaries, auditors and counterparties can confirm what is held and on what terms, without waiting on a quarterly statement.

Why a trust company

Continuity is the whole point of a trustee.

  • A corporate trustee does not die

An individual executor can predecease you, emigrate, or fall out with the family. A licensed trust company carries the mandate without interruption.

  • Assets segregated by law

Trust property is held separately from the company balance sheet and is not available to our creditors. Client accounts are reconciled every business day.

  • No conflict to manage

We do not manage money, sell investments or lend. Our only interest in a mandate is that the instrument is followed exactly as written.

How it works

From first meeting to final distribution.

  1. Step 1

    Consultation

We map your assets, dependants and intentions — or for institutions, the mandate and deed structure.

  2. Step 2

    Structuring

We recommend the instrument that fits: a will, a living trust, a hibah, or the appropriate trusteeship arrangement.

  3. Step 3

    Execution

Documents are drafted, witnessed and placed in safekeeping. Deeds are lodged with the relevant authority.

  4. Step 4

    Administration

When the trust takes effect we act — distributing to beneficiaries or releasing on condition, and reporting throughout.
